Analysis for AsbestosOptical Microscopy & Transmission Electron Microscopy
The Need Accurate analysis for asbestos fibers in building materials, soil dust, air, and water is required to meet Federal and State Regulations dealing with the environmental hazards of asbestos exposure to man. Asbestos analysis requires a variety of analytical techniques employing both optical and electron microscopy. Optical methods include analysis by Phase Contrast Microscopy (PCM) for airborne fibers and Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) for analysis of bulk asbestos containing materials. The Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) is utilized to analyze air, bulk, and water samples when a more definitive analysis is required.
The Solution AMA Analytical Services, Inc. can provide all of the required asbestos analyses to meet your project needs. We routinely perform PLM, PCM, and TEM analysis on all types of sample matrices. AMA is accredited by AIHA (#244), NVLAP (#101143), NY ELAP (#10920) and various state and city agencies. Our laboratory are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with qualified microscopists always on call to meet your analytical needs. Expedited turnaround is available whenever your project requires it. |
