EM 385-1-1 (40-Hour Course Includes OSHA-30 for Construction)

This course provides detailed instruction on how contractors can comply with EM 385-1-1 standards.  The course covers the safety procedures and requirements set forth by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Safety and Health Requirements Manual EM 385-1-1 and incorporates the OSHA Construction Safety Standards.  Learn what the USACE requires of contractors in preparing Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), site-specific Accident Prevention Plans (APPs), Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) qualifications and responsibilities, personnel training requirements, jobsite inspections and incident reporting.  Identify the significant differences between the requirements of Federal OSHA and the Corp’s requirements for a comprehensive safety and health program.

Contractors working at military installations, NAVFAC, Air Force, USCG, CIA, DOE and USACE projects must comply with the requirements of USACE EM 385-1-1. This interactive course combines classroom instruction, demonstrations, hands-on exercises, desk-top scenarios, and tests to enhance student learning objectives AMA provides a certificate and pocket ID card for each student upon successful completion of the course.
